1961 Chevrolet Apache Pickup Truck. 2 owners from the same family before we got it. A true barn find from Texas! 53,884 miles (believed to be original). Original paint, interior, engine and transmission. 6 Cyl, 3 speed on column.
The original owner sold this truck years ago to one of his family members. The owner was driving and someone hit him on the passenger side causing panel dents. In frustration, the owner parked it in his barn where it has been stored for years. In 2020, the owner pulled it out from storage and we purchased it.
Condition: The truck is in remarkable rust free condition. We could not find any rust through. Only some surface rust. The passenger side of the truck is dented in seveal areas. Door panel, front fender, a couple spots on the corner of the hood, cab corner and some on the bed side. Local garages have inspected the truck and recommend pulling out the dents and leaving the original panels on the truck. We did purchase some new eplacement panels that go with it. Those include: New passenger door exterior panel, new front fender and new cab corner. The owner we purchased the truck from had the engine running before we hauled it home. We have not made any attempts to start it since. I am sure it needs the fuel tank cleaned out, new fuel & rubber hoses, etc. The truck has brand new tires and the orginal hubcaps. This truck is a rare find in this condition and would make a fantastic resto mod or drive it as is. It is a short wheel base, step side.
We have a Texas title and original bill of sale that goes with the truck. The reserve is very reasonable.
